(Pilot) Stop, Drop and Co-Op: Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Chief and Andrew play an old retail title, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and come face-to-face with a nasty Dragon boss. Who will prevail? Will it be funny? Who really cares? Well I guess I do… so here we go!

TWPG Podcast Episode #2: Best Sequels

Who missed the cut for top sequels? Crackdown 2 sure did... it should have been called Crackdown patch 1.1. Easily one of the most disappointing sequels I have ever played.

Podcast Episode #2 is here! Continuing in our grand tradition of abrupt endings this podcast is a little shorter than standard, but Andrew and I are joined by our good friend (and huge MMO fan) Seth. Aside from my rants about the people working at home improvement retail stores (that shall go nameless incase any of them wants to sponsor us… it could happen), there is a bunch of stuff in this podcast.

First we tackle the planned 2012 game releases and what ones we were most excited about. This was recorded before I got my hands on a copy of Mass Effect 3 so bare with us as I pine over it’s release. The abundance of sequel releases in 2012 lead us into a discussion about the best sequel of all time in gaming.

Listen in a leave your comments below if there is anything you think we left out from the list of best sequels.

The Weekend Pre-Game Podcast Episode #1

Our recording studio... epic I know.

Howdy folks!

Welcome to the to the first installment of The Weekend Pre-Game Podcast. Our podcast is a free-flowing, triple-distilled, pleasantly random, stream of consciousness based around the topic of video games.

Your hosts are myself, Chief (Primary writer for theweekendpregame.com), and Andrew (A guy I met in Farmington, once). The guys have gamed on every platform ever created, with the possible exception of Magnavox Odyssey, and have a unique perspective. Think of it as 2 and a half decades of gaming experience, jammed into a one hour audio file.

We recorded this pilot episode in November of last year, right after the Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer was released. In this episode we talked about our favorite moments from previous Grand Theft Auto games, and made our first Achievement bet.
